Slingshot
The slingshot is a weapon that finds its origins at the end of the 19th century. Since its artisanal conception, with wood and a simple elastic, it has become more sophisticated. Today, we find modern slingshots equipped with a wrist rest, a sight, a stabilizer, or even an ammunition pouch.
The ammunition has also evolved, from simple stones to lead pellets or steel balls, including those dedicated to airsoft. Today, there are pellets for all types of needs!
Choosing your slingshot model:
- The pouch slingshot: we should rather call it a ball launcher because it's not designed for pebbles that could pierce it, however it proves extremely formidable when using steel or clay balls as you just need to drop the ball into the pouch and shoot... very easy and quick to use!
- The classic slingshot (round tubes): it's the oldest model with a round and very sturdy elastic. This type of slingshot is powerful and solid.
- The flat band slingshot: it's fairly recent and has the advantage of being able to stretch further than the traditional slingshot, offering high projectile velocity and therefore great accuracy. It's also easier to shoot, making it ideal for children and beginners.
Choosing ammunition is quite simple:
- Steel balls for hunting or use in a slingshot target
- Clay balls for leisure (they disintegrate when shot at a tree or wall without leaving long-term traces)
