Different types of bow stringer

A bow stringer always consists of a main string or strap with 2 loops or 2 sleeves at the ends, depending on the model.

Generally, they are classified into two categories:

• Models that are positioned on each cam (cam-to-cam bow stringer). You must be careful that the cams of your bow are compatible and that the string can slide onto them without hindrance.
• Models that are installed on one side on the lower cam and on the other side on the bow limb (cam-limb bow stringer). They are the most used because they are compatible with most bows.

How to use the bow stringer on your bow?

Stringing your bow simply means installing the string on your bow. The bow stringer will allow you to easily put the real string on your bow.
While you can find fixed bow stringers in some clubs, it's still better to learn how to string or unstring your bow by yourself and thus gain autonomy, especially if you're going to competitions or shooting in your backyard.

What is a compound bow press?

While the compound bow is the only bow that is never disassembled or unstrung, it is also the one that will require a mechanized accessory to be handled: the press.
