Accessories and spare parts

To use a compound bow, different accessoriescan be helpful for you. You have a wide choice of materials that can be useful to you in your daily life: vibration damper, band/bow stringer, Berger button, clickers, releases, grips, peep sights, bow stand, arrow rest, etc. These accessories are optional but can impact your efficiency and improve your technique.

When we talk about accessories for archery or compound bows, we are also talking about spare parts. Repairing a compound bow is quite feasible if you have the right accessories. So, you'll be reassured to know that it will not be necessary to replace a bow if a problem occurs, whether it be a minor or a serious one. To help you, you can ask an archery shop to perform a diagnosis on your bow first. Once the problem is identified, you will be able to find/order your accessory or spare part. There are different types of small accessories for the compound bow: Berger’s head, blade, pin, brush, spring, cable spacer, etc.

Modules

Adjusting the draw length is essential if you are using a compound bow. This will effectively define the distance between your grip and the string at full draw. There are two types of modules: interchangeable or removable.

Regardless of the model, be aware that the modules are useful for some compound bows that require a change of module before you can adjust the draw length. There are several types of modules. These are specific to each bow. To choose yours, you will have to refer to the instructions of the manufacturer of the bow.

The cams

The cams optimize the shooter's abilities by increasing the release force during a shot. There are 4 types of cams:

  • Soft cams which are designed for beginners, or for archers who are adept at shooting indoors or outdoors.
  • Hard cams which are reserved for professional or seasoned archers. Indeed, the use of this type of cam requires training and great control. They are therefore intended for hunting, 3D archery, or field archery.
  • Medium cam which is the intermediate version between the soft cam and the hard cam. Archers often use this model during competitions because it is a good compromise.
