This is an accessory that allows you to shift the bow's balance forward. Without a bow extension, the V-Bar will be attached directly to the bow handle. In this case, the lateral on the arm side of the equipment may pinch the forearm when the bow tilts. So if you want to optimize the balance of your stabilization, using an extension is essential.

What is vibration?

First and foremost, it's important to note that all bows vibrate when the archer releases the arrow. Vibration is simply a periodic movement characterized by frequency and amplitude. Frequency is the speed at which the movement is produced, while amplitude represents its size. Frequency is measured in Hertz, and the higher it is, the more acute the sound. The factors on which the latter depends are none other than the mass of the bow and the power applied to stop the vibrations. While the archer is aiming at a target, it's also possible for vibrations to be felt due to the weight of the equipment and other external factors. This is why accessories have been specifically developed to limit this oscillation.

The different accessories to stabilize the bow

Kits and accessories can vary from one bow to another. A compound bow, for example, requires a sight. The same goes for a hunting bow. However, for a traditional bow or a classic bow intended for intuitive shooting, it's a bare model. With this in mind, it's possible to do without accessories. Only the archer will need to be well-equipped to enjoy better comfort when using their equipment.

The parts that make up a bow are quite numerous, to name just a few: the handle, the pair of limbs, the string, the sight, and the plunger button. Stabilization is also one of the parts that have a high priority for an archer in a definitive configuration. For a beginner in progression, it's possible to do without this accessory. When talking about stabilization, you will of course need to use a stabilizer. This equipment aims to absorb vibrations so that the archer can aim at their target. The stabilizer comes in two types: the central stabilizer and the side stabilizer on which the V-Bar will be fixed. As for the V-Bar extension, it will serve to ensure the attachment of the side stabilizers to the bow.
