What is the purpose of a spine tester?

The spine of an arrow is its ability to deform under pressure. It is expressed in hundredths of an inch of arrow deflection under a given weight, typically 2 pounds at the center of a 29-inch shaft.

The spine tester allows:

- to check the consistency between multiple tubes or arrows from the same batch

- to orient all tubes in the same direction when fletching, thus promoting better grouping on target. This is called "spine alignment"

What is the purpose of an arrow straightener?

It will be used for aluminum tubes and arrows that may bend slightly over time or with impacts.

The straightener will allow you to apply controlled pressure on the tube to straighten it and extend its lifespan.
