How to choose your crossbow: our advice
The design of the crossbow dates back millennia. It is commonly accepted that the first crossbows appeared in ancient China around the 5th century BC.
The original crossbow consisted of a bow fixed crosswise on a wooden stock. The projectiles are called bolts and are shorter than traditional arrows, although their length can vary. Over the centuries, the crossbow's bow has been made of wood, iron, or steel. It was mainly used in wars and for hunting.
